Praise the Lord, brothers and sisters! At this youth blending conference, I enjoyed John 1:12: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name.” Praise the Lord that we are given the authority to become children of God. With this authority, we can defeat the enemy and push him aside. Why don’t we lie, get angry, or do bad things? It is because of this authority from God that we can push the enemy aside and not let him work in us.
I also enjoyed learning that if we want to understand the Lord’s heart, we need a close, affectionate friendship with God. We must also learn to listen to His word. Just like we can talk about anything with a friend and they listen, we can pray and talk to the Lord, and He will listen. Having this close love and friendship with Him brings true happiness. (JL)
We need to have a close, affectionate friendship with the Lord. I really enjoyed the lesson about loving the Lord and listening to His word. In the message, we were told of the story of Mary sitting at the Lord’s feet to hear His word. The brother shared that by sitting at His feet, Mary humbled herself before the Lord, and so she was able to understand God’s heart’s desire.
I was deeply touched by Mary’s love for the Lord. We need to be like Mary to love the Lord. Today is the time for us to open our hearts to Him and love Him with our whole heart. When God gains our heart, He gains our whole being. We need to tell Him, “Lord Jesus, we love You,” giving Him more room to spread into our spirit, soul, and body. (LYJ)
Praise the Lord for the opportunity to join this youth blending conference. I was deeply touched by John 1:12: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name.” We are born of God, so we have the authority to overcome Satan and the temptations of the world!
I also enjoyed that I need to love the Lord my God with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind, and all my strength (Mark 12:30). Because of love, no matter how difficult our circumstances are, having God’s love makes them nothing to fear! At the same time, I realized I shouldn’t think that loving the Lord means I don’t need to study hard; instead, I should fully hand over my daily life to Him.
In the past, when I prayed, I only asked God to meet my personal needs. But after this conference, I decided to learn from Mary—to sit humbly at the Lord’s feet, listen to His word, know God’s heart, and no longer chase after worldly things. (LJS)
