Saints’ testimonies concerning the recent Northern Peninsular Malaysia Churches Blending Conference, held in Penang from 6th to 8th December 2024 : -
The blending conference in Penang was very good! Having the brothers speaking to over six-hundred saints from different localities in this conference. I was very glad to see the saints from PJ coming to the conference. I also enjoyed that we need to be the partaker of the divine life (2 Pet. 1:4) and to grow in life by loving the Lord!
We should accept God's discipline and administration on us by experiencing Him as our grace. We should fear God and the Lord’s judgment, God Himself will perfect us, everything is under His governing hands, and we should give everything to God who judges according to righteousness. Under God's judgment, we will be like God in life and nature. We need to be completely open to the Lord and submit ourselves to God's mighty hand. The Triune God has gone through a long process to become the Spirit entering into us. For us to grow in our Christian life, we need God's administrative discipline. The Lord is our pattern and our life. We must cooperate with God's work and be willing to be made humble and lowly by God under His mighty hand.
Matthew 11:28-30, ‘Come to Me all who toil and are burdened and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.’ A word that touched me the most during the conference was that the Lord is the shepherd of our souls, the One who gives rest to our souls. I am very much reminded that in the midst of struggling to be successful in any work, I need to stop and come to the Lord for rest. I must not be constrained by the responsibilities or the works that must be done; instead, I should come to the Lord first and spend time with Him. I should not be enslaved by the work itself, but rather be constrained by the Father's will. Lord, I come to You! You are my real rest and perfect peace.
Grace is Christ Himself as our enjoyment! Despite sufferings and discouragements, we have been called to enjoy and express Christ as grace. I was touched by what the brother said: How can we allow Christ to increase and multiply in us if we never deny our natural self and let Him be everything to us? We truly need to open to Him, be humble in the mighty hand of God, no matter what our situation is. By receiving and abiding in the word of His grace, and being one spirit with Him, we may experience the multiplication of grace.
The governing of God begins from the household of God (1 Pet. 4:17). God is dealing with us out of love every day. I treasure that we need to be open vessels to the Lord’s governing hand. We need to learn to humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God (1 Pet. 5:6). And in James 4:6 it says, But He gives greater grace; therefore, it says, “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” To be humble is willing to open ourselves up to the Lord, then we can enjoy God as grace. God deals with everything that is not of Him, and the more we enjoy Him as grace, the more our self decreases! In my experience, there are things that happen which make me feel discouraged. I often feel powerless in those situations. Previously I could devise a way out with my own ways and methods, but now in these situations, I learn to turn to the Lord. We need to learn to recognize God’s hands and know that God is in control of everything. He is the Shepherd of our souls. Praise the Lord! His grace is sufficient for us.
I especially enjoyed God's administration is God's discipline. Hebrews 12:6, “For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives.” God wants to remove from us all the elements that are unclean, unholy, and that do not belong to Him. The Lord spoke to me and answered my doubt through Chinese Hymnal #273 -- "God you are now rearranging my way. All I have built You’re destroying today." In my experience, I often questioned: why is that I do not seems to be living the happy life I envisioned though I am a Christian, but I keep on stumbling and failing; all that I have planned and do often fall apart. Thank the Lord, at one hand He is subjecting me under His administration by His mighty hand, that my natural building and efforts must be torn down; and on the other hand, He gives me sufficient grace (2 Cor. 12:9) to live a proper Christian life under His administration.
