Campus Blending and Perfecting Trip to Sabah (Aug 28—Sep 5, 2022) (3)

Thank the Lord for being able to participate in this Campus Blending and Perfecting Trip to Sabah. In this week, I was perfected in many aspects such as in truth, service and gospel. Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” In such participation, the Lord reminded me to be one who is pure in heart. The saints in Sabah are a group of people who are pure in heart and simple towards God. They are people who simply open to the Lord, accepting His word, giving their all for the Lord and they only want the Lord. May the Lord make us one of those who are pure in heart, so that we may see Him! This was also my first time to serve in translation. Through such a service, the Lord enlightened me to see my lack, what I have been equipped with is far from sufficient. If it were just for me, being able to communicate is good enough. But the Lord has such a need today, and His need is greater than my need! This strengthened my desire to join the two-year full-time training and caused me to renew my consecration desperately before the Lord, just as the chorus of “The Uniqueness of the Lord’s Recovery” sings: “O Lord, we give ourselves afresh, Into Your training hands to be, Molded, shaped, and worked on daily, To be vessels of Your glory!” Philippians 1:3 says, “I thank my God upon all my remembrance of you,” I really treasure such a corporate living, being able to blend with the saints and built up in love. The church on earth today is the continuation of the Lord’s victory! After returning to our localities, we continue to encourage one another, running the heavenly race course together, live an overcoming life, to be the Lord’s overcomers and bring Him back! Praise God for such a blending and perfecting trip!
I was very touched in this Campus Perfecting Blending trip to Sabah. While visiting the local saints at their homes, I was moved by their desire and pure heart that loves the Lord. In a simple living without luxuries, they still have a heart that seeks the Lord and desires Him. As a child who grew up without any lack, their heart that appreciates the Lord cause me to be humbled. The spirit and giving of the local serving saints also really touched me. On our way to visit the saints at their homes, we have to drive through bumpy roads before arriving at our destination. For me, this is something I would experience only when I am participating in blending trips like these. However, for the serving ones, this is their daily routine, their living. While we were on the way, a sister shared with me regarding a local saint who was baptized ten years ago and had not come to the meetings since. During the pandemic, she had the desire to meet but she did not join us. Instead, she went to another congregation. In that place, she gained nothing, rather, she felt empty within. Finally, she contacted other local saints and came back to our midst. The sister’s sharing caused me to be touched in the matter of serving the Lord. We should not regard the outward environments, neither should we look at the saints’ conditions. We might think that our efforts are in vain, we want to give up, but we cannot view the service from our perspective. We only need to serve faithfully, God Himself will come to do the work. Apart from these, through such a blending, I have a different seeing towards the members of the Body of Christ. As trainees, we were involved in various services, such as meal preparation, after-meal cleaning and etc. In the process of service there were many tasks to be completed, many ingredients to be prepared in the kitchen, etc. These matters could not be completed alone. Thank the Lord, the coordination between the members made them easy. Although I felt tired, my heart was filled with joy and satisfaction.
