Sabah Year-End Events (December 20, 2024–January 1, 2025)

The following year-end events took place in Keningau, Sabah last December, conducted in three stages:

  1. BM-Speaking Conference
    20–22 December 2024
  2. BM-Speaking Saints Training
    23–27 December 2024
  3. BM Books Propagation and Visitation of Churches in Sabah
    27 December 2024 – 1 January 2025

A principle has been set up through history that there is the desperate need of the living truth to produce the church, to help the church exist, and to build up the church. Through His word God’s work has been able to advance on the earth throughout the ages. Whenever God’s word cannot spread, God’s work cannot advance. At the closing of year 2024, we witnessed the advancement of the work of God through His word by the coming together of the churches in Malaysia, and over 200 saints spending their time, energy, and money to spread the divine truth, laboring together in coordination. Truly, we are desperate for the riches in this ministry to reach the hand of many in drought, desolation and famine (Gen. 41:54)!

There were a total of 8 saints from the church in Petaling Jaya participated in the above events in different stages. During a span of 4 days (28/12/24-31/12/24), there were total 1733 publications propagated throughout Sabah! This includes 20 Holy Bible with footnote, 2 Holy Bible text only and 1 Wasiat Baru with footnote. The following are the testimonies of the saints:-

During the book propagation and church visitations, our group travelled to Tawau, Semporna, Kunak, and Lahad Datu. I saw that God’s children are suffering from spiritual famine. Their real need is the Word of God. We met many who love the Lord and hunger for His truth. On the way to Tawau, we stopped at a small town called Kalabakan. There, we discovered that the publication had already reached them. It had ‘flowed’ into a home like water, reaching someone we did not know, imperceptibly “seep” into people. They expressed a desire to know more about God and wanted to establish more contact. Truly, the publication can go to places we cannot!
In Tawau, three denominations invited us to hold a book exhibition at their premises, bringing the Word of God to them. We brought out the “diamonds” and presented to them, and after reading some portions, many were attracted. They purchased numerous books, and even the pastor encouraged the congregation to buy more books. We must seize the opportunity to propagate the books and share the truths while the people are open. I also deeply treasure the coordination with the local saints. I witnessed many patterns before me, there were saints buying and giving out books, paying the price by taking leave from work to join us in propagating the publications. May God continue to work through His speaking in all these publications, so that His children may receive spirit and life. – PGSE
A sister serving in Keningau mentioned that they have been preparing for half a year for this book propagation. I believe there are also a lot of prayers for this gospel move. Books can reach places and people we cannot reach. There are a lot of testimonies on how people are saved by reading books in the recovery. We need God’s word every day, because the word of God is living and operative, shines forth light. During the propagation, I learned to trust in the Lord. I also learn to fight the spiritual warfare through corporate prayer, and by being watchful in spirit. In the process, I really see that there is famine around us. A lot of Christians are seeking the truth. Praise the Lord, He is the sovereign One! We contacted many open vessels, Christians and non-Christians alike. May all the books that were sold shine forth light to those who read the books. – HXXF
Thank and praise the Lord for His mercy that I can participate in the BM Books Propagation and Visitation of Churches in Sabah 2024. In the morning, we went to the towns and villages with our companions according to our groups. In the evening, we joined the blending conference. I saw many locals who do not know the Lord, and there are also many Roman Catholics, but they know nothing about the truth. There are many saints in denominations desire for our publications, and willing to buy the spiritual publications especially‘The Normal Christian Life’. During the propagation this time, I see that we must watch and pray in all things, and be vigilant. For we are fighting against the invisible forces, there are enemies on all sides. May the Lord have mercy on me, to be equipped with the truth, be constituted by the word of God, to have the desire to learn the Malay language. All things must be out of life, to pray and fellowship with the Lord in spirit, living together in the will of God. – TBL
During the BM Books Propagation this time, I saw that the entire earth is in famine. The people without the word of God is empty and pitiful. Even though many locals claimed themselves to be Christians, in actual fact they are religionists. They are bound by religion, not knowing God, and not knowing God’s will. We brought many BM books not with the purpose to “sell books” but to bring the word of God to more people. I realized the importance and preciousness of literature work; we cannot imagine to what extent the Lord can work through the publications – we do not know after the publications go out, who will they pass through and where will they eventually go. There are many churches being raised up not because of the going out of our brothers and sisters, rather it was through the publication first reached that place and as a result the church was produced as the pillar and base of the truth!
Praise the Lord for the opportunity to go to three different denominations to propagate our publications. It was eye- opening to see that the pastors’ longing for this ministry. They realized the shortage of the word of God in their midst, and encouraged those in their denominations to buy books, reading the word of God. I was very much enlightened to see that I am so blessed to be in the Lord’s recovery, we have many riches that are within reach, this caused me to treasure the Lord’s speaking more! May we be those who fully accomplish our ministry, through speaking the word of God, buy books, give away books, let the word of God spread out mightily! Philippians 1:14, “...being confident in the Lord..., are more exceedingly bold to speak the word of God without fear.” – IYAW
In going out to propagate these books, I see that our going out is the Lord’s going out as the Sower to sow the word of God as seed (Mark 4:14-15). I treasured the prayer times with the saints during our journey—praying for us to be in one accord, declaring the Lord Jesus’ victory over Satan, and affirming that we are not for our own will or self-interest. While propagating the publications, I realized that the truths in these books need to be constituted in me so that I can give food at the proper time (Matt. 24:45). Throughout the trip, the Lord impressed me with one word — “Desperate”. My team met a man with a severe skin condition. When we called on the Lord’s name together, I felt his cry within—he had no other hope but the Lord. This scene reminded me of Mark 5:25-34, where a bleeding woman was desperate to touch Jesus. The Lord spoke to me: Am I like her or the crowd merely following Jesus? When man has no hope, they are open to receive God. What is my hope? Do I still long for the world, or am I desperate for God’s word to go out? The Gentile woman in Matthew 15:26-27 had great faith, receiving even crumbs from the master’s table. She cried, “Lord, help me!” (v.25). Oh, may I be desperate like her! I thank the Lord for this experience, which strengthened me to go on positively in the church life. Many times, I felt that my needs were not met, but through this experience, I had a deeper feeling within me: “Who then will meet God’s need?” — ITYH
At the beginning of the BM-speaking training, I was truly humbled by the Lord seeing considerable number of middle-aged and elderly saints diligently study and enter into the truth in our national language. It was in such an atmosphere that I consecrated myself to receive a renewed training in this language together with so many lovers of the truth with a pure heart and poor spirit. In this ‘turning point’ of the Lord’s recovery to spread out from the dominantly Chinese-speaking and English-speaking community to the natives, we must be trained and be equipped to be able to present the truth clearly, intelligibly and accurately in the Malay language. For the Lord’s move to progressively advance in this country, the Lord must gain some faithful ones who are willing to live a life of sacrifice for His recovery, bearing the commission to bring the Lord’s recovery from one race to another race, from one language to another language, from one sociocultural group to another sociocultural group. If, once in our lifetime, the Lord can use us as stepping stones in His move on the earth, our lives will be worthwhile! ‘Lord, as You are moving onward, do not pass me by!”
During the final stage of book propagation, I am most deeply impressed that the Lord’s recovery has been commissioned with a big enterprise to spread the Lord’s truths. What we are doing today is to cause the Lord’s recovery on the earth to be perfected and to allow the Lord’s recovery to spread out from us. Although not all these ones who received the divine truth will turn to the way of the Lord’s recovery, a portion of them will take this way to become the overcomers. The publications in our midst are for all the children of God, as brother Lee said: “I care for the spreading of the truths so that they can get into the needy hearts... This is where my heart is. I will die for this. I told the brothers in the Far East that I will not stop until my entire being is exhausted by this ministry. I hope that you all will say the same thing.” Lord, I too would be utterly spent for this ministry! Till the day of the fulfilment of Isaiah 11:9b — “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah, / As water covers the sea.” – EC
