Children Camp (Dec 8, 2024)

Children Camp 2024 was held on 8 December 2024 with the aim of providing an environment where children could come to know God and the Bible through lessons and interactive activities. Throughout the preparation for this camp, the serving brothers and sisters came together with a shared sense of purpose, centered on three key objectives:

  1. To reward our children for their participation and attendance
  2. To recover those who are not meeting regularly
  3. To gain gospel friends, including the families of the children

At the beginning of the camp, the children gathered to sing the hymn “Who Made the World So Big and Round”, followed by an opening word given by a brother. The children then participated in an ice-breaking game to get to know one another before breaking into groups to take part in the station games.

The camp concluded with the long-awaited prize-giving session, where children were rewarded according to the marks they had accumulated throughout the year. Gifts were also prepared for the gospel friends.

A total of 46 participants attended the camp, comprising:

  • 38 of our own children
  • 8 gospel friends

Praise the Lord for all these ones, and may His word be sown into the hearts of the gospel friends!

The game stations were organized according to God’s creation as recorded in Genesis 1:3 – 2:3:

  • Station 1:
    • Day 1 – Light
    • Day 2 – Sky
  • Station 2:
    • Day 3 – Plants
    • Day 4 – Sun, Moon, and Stars
  • Station 3:
    • Day 5 – Fish and Birds
  • Station 4:
    • Day 6 – Animals and Man
    • Day 7 – God Rested

Below are some testimonies from the saints:

Praise the Lord for the annual Children Camp! It was wonderful to see the saints coordinating together in the Body, each according to their own measure and function. The Lord brought gospel friends into our midst through the saints and their children. May the Lord gain them through this camp for the increase of the church! (CWX)
During the Children Camp over the weekend, the children had a wonderful and memorable time. The activities incorporated Bible stories with opportunities for the children to discover God’s creation. It was a joyful and uplifting experience that allowed the children to establish a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God. (PL)
What a joy it was to serve in the Children Camp! When I was first invited to serve as the emcee, I doubted my ability to effectively lead the children, as this role was outside my comfort zone. However, through prayer and entrusting the situation to the Lord, I experienced His wisdom and grace. Witnessing the children actively engaged with the hymns and lessons brought me great joy. Their enthusiasm encouraged me to consecrate myself to the Lord with a pure heart and rekindled my burning love for Him. (TJH)
Thank the Lord for placing me in the Children Camp service and allowing me to experience Him as my strength. Initially, I was reluctant to serve due to a lack of confidence. However, through this service, I experienced more fellowship and coordination with the brothers and sisters. It also brought me before the Lord to seek His leading and to learn to subject myself to Him. I was encouraged to see the saints’ concern for the participation of gospel friends and their willingness to give their all for this camp. May the Lord gain us to enjoy His riches and leading in all aspects, having a deeper experience of Him as our Head and we as His Body! (HYE)
Praise the Lord for all the saints who served in coordination, enabling the Children Camp to be conducted smoothly. Through this camp, gospel friends were gained, and the families of the children were also reached. In the process of serving, I realized the importance of coordination and my need for other members to supply what I lacked. Seeing the children joyfully participating in the activities deeply assured me that the service was not in vain. From a long-term perspective, the children are the future of the church. May the Lord gain us so that more saints are burdened to be involved in children’s service—not only for the children in our midst, but also to gain more gospel friends and recover more families. (CSA)
